Introduction and Problem Statement

BrandsMart USA is one of the leading Consumer Electronics and Appliance Retailers in the Southeast and one of the largest Appliance Retailers in the country. BrandsMart USA came to Word on the Block to find more efficient ways to promote its brand to shoppers located in Florida and Georgia. After a successful initial campaign, BrandsMart tasked Word on the Block with promoting the grand opening of their newest store location in Augusta, Georgia. Given the relatively limited field of creators in the Augusta area, they found themselves spending far too much time and effort trying to find and engage creators in the area. Luckily, location targeting is something Word on the Block was able to offer.

Solution

To spread the message to as many Augusta-area shoppers as possible, Word on the Block focused the campaign on creating virality on TikTok. From finding creators, to organizing travel, product purchases and multiple pieces of content, Word on the Block handled the entire process while BrandsMart was able to focus on ensuring the grand opening ran as smoothly as possible.

Results

We were able to engage 10 hyper-local influencers to post 20 total videos. The first video was done remotely, calling attention to the grand opening and pointing out products on the BrandsMart website they were interested in buying. The second video was shot at the grand opening in Augusta, featuring the ribbon cutting and VIP access into the store. The structure worked, achieving 1+ million total impressions and an extremely strong average engagement rate of 14.4%.
